The Power of...God Is!

“God is Who He says He is
and
He’ll do what He says He’ll do.”

As I have positioned myself into Sabbath Margin over the last 4 weeks, I realize without utter acceptance of that one statement my time can become ineffective. I can offer myself quiet space, turn on worship music, listen to His heartbeat and hear His directives into my destiny. I can come out ready to interact, swinging my sword of the Word: rejuvenated and on fire, BUT if I do not grasp the truth of that one statement I’m compromised before I ever get started.

I believe God has called me to be a Warrior Queen, proclaiming His Kingdom and nurturing His people. I have seen Him replace my worn out, beaten, and broken down heart with one lined with the Truth of the Word. I have seen Him raise His Banner of Promises over me and take position in front to clear my way. I have also seen myself running into this destiny, but sadly never getting very far before I found myself cowering in a corner desperately pleading for Jesus’ hand of rescue. All the while head spinning and reeling from my fear, discouragement, unacceptance, frustration, anger, loss, disillusionment, etc.

Although this statement is not new to me, somehow on Sunday it finally rang the bell in a frequency that turned on a brighter light. And I had to come back into Sabbath Margin and sit before the feet of Jesus and admit my failure before Him. “I am so, so, very sorry! I have NOT always believed You were Who You said You were and I have NOT always believed You would do what You said You would do.” Here I sat, a veteran of the faith, admitting my doubt before Father.

As always, He was so gracious and kind. Renewing my faith and courage to carry on. Returning me to the words and promises given and encouraging me “Arise! Shine! For your Light has come.” Now instead of striving on my own, looking for others to promote and give me opportunity…I needed to stand on this one absolute promise spoken from the Father’s mouth.

My Word of Truth will never return to me void (without power or purpose).
It will accomplish the thing it has been set out to do! Simply trust…
I AM Who I say I AM!
I will do what I say I will do!

I share this with you because I know there are others out there who need to know their purpose and destiny depends on this simple truth. Our dreams and visions and promises are waiting on us to take this gift, unwrap it and slip it on our finger. It is the signet ring of His authority over in our lives.

Are you all in?

Are You All In Or Not!!!

"The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom."  Psalm 111:10

You know, that is not my favorite verse. It's kind of a negative approach, especially for a people-pleaser. Why not, "The love of God is the beginning of wisdom."

I understand that the bible is talking about the awe kind of fear of a God that is too magnificent for a quick peak.  A God that requires time to ponder, study, observe.  A God that wants my full attention so that He can speak to me.

Today is an "anchor" day for me.  A day without obligations - clear the board - a sta-cation with God and the Word.  A face to face without excuses kind of worship time with my creator and Holy Father by divine appointment.  A day when I am all in.  Well, maybe not the full day, but a time carved out by divine appointment.

Are you all in?  Or are you one foot with God and one foot with worry?  Off balance?  Make a date with your creator.  Seal the deal by turning the phone off, and tuning in with your heart, mind, soul and spirit at the table.  He will meet you there.  Even if you don't "feel" His presence - He is there.  Just start to read the word and journal your thoughts.  Let pen and thought and word meet paper and seek Him, because: "The love and reverence of God is the beginning of wisdom."

"...if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding...if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding , and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord...and find the knowledge of God."  Proverbs 2:1-5
